"Auto Erotica" is a dance duet for man and machine (yes, that is a boy car.. look closer). The relationship is there, but ultimately it's a bit of self-love, with a VERY big tool.
What began as an ironic parody of how sexualized car advertising is, became more complicated when we saw the images and thought, "Why is this turning me on a bit?".
Hot dancer + shiny metal = ?
Hard to critique when you’re feeling the effect, but lots of fun regardless.
The film was nominated as a finalist for the "Top of Cannes" competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006.
